- Bunbury Herald - 26 Jul 1900: HURRICANE AT HAMLIN. THREE BARQUES DRIVEN ASHORE FIVE LIVES LOST. The Postmaster-General (Mr R. A. Sholl) received the following telegram from Mr G. H. Percival (postmaster at Karridale) on Tuesday evening : — ' I regret to have to report a violent hurricane in this distrist.
